Types of Cork Rolls & Cork Sheets
What is the difference between the various types of cork rolls and cork sheets?
Composition cork rolls and sheets are perhaps the most versatile of all cork products. Different cork grain sizes create composition cork rolls and cork sheets in grades and appearances to satisfy specific purposes and uses:
BB13 Composition Cork Rolls: A medium-density, bulletin board–grade composition cork roll designed as a cost-effective solution for a variety of applications. Ideal for economical bulletin board surfaces in schools, offices, or commercial settings, BB13 features a consistent grain and smooth texture suitable for pins and tacks. It’s also used in certain gasket applications, spacer pads, packaging, and general industrial needs.
BB14 Composition Cork Roll: A high-density, high-end bulletin-board grade composition cork material ideally suited for bulletin board use, wall coverings, and certain silk screening applications. This premium cork roll features finer, more compressed grains, resulting in a smooth, more refined surface finish.
QuietCork™: A high-density agglomerated cork underlayment designed for sound control and thermal insulation under hardwood, laminate, ceramic, and cork flooring. Ideal for commercial and multi-residential use, it reduces impact noise, improves comfort, and supports LEED and sustainability goals. Available in sheets or rolls and various thicknesses. Acoustic test data available.
CR117: A premium, high-density, fine grain composition cork material available in sheets. This sheet cork is suitable for durable applications including bulletin boards, coasters, architectural models or gasket applications.
Insulation Cork Sheets: Lower density, dark insulation cork sheets have excellent thermal insulation properties as well as excellent acoustic and anti-vibration properties. They also can simultaneously function as wall/ceiling tiles and tackboards.
Dry Erase Wall Coverings: Make almost any surface a dry erase/white board. This clever wall covering is easily cut to cover whatever surface you choose - table, wall, conference room.
Self-Expanding Cork: Self-expanding cork is a natural, moisture-activated sealing solution that expands to fill gaps, joints, and spaces, ensuring a tight and durable seal. Ideal for construction, insulation, and expansion joints, offering superior flexibility, thermal and acoustic insulation, and long-lasting performance.
